Sven Rothenberger
Sven Rothenberger represented Germany at many major championships before becoming part of the dutch team and representing Holland internationally in the sport of dressage after marrying Dutch rider Gonnelien Gordijn. With his adopted Dutch nationality Sven represented Holland at the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta winning an individual silver medal and a team bronzze medal. Sven also won team silver medal at the 1995 and 1997 European championships as well as as an individual silver medal in 1995.
Before switching nationality from German to Dutch Sven was a regular on the German dressage team winning two team gold medals at the European championships as well as an individual European gold freestyle in 1991 and silver in 1993.
